Salone del Mobile Milan 2022: presenting the new Coconut armchair
Coconut, the new armchair incorporating quality design and environmental sustainability
Coconut will be one of the new products launched at the 2022 Salone del Mobile in Milan. This new eco-sustainable furnishing line comprises a swivel armchair and a rectangular pouf, designed by architect Giulio Manzoni.
When design goes green
Sustainability, innovation and design: key words that best describe this new project from Egoitaliano. Coconut was created through a partnership with Fater, an Italian company known for its commitment to recycling, and combines the brand’s vivacious and pop aesthetic with its focus on sustainability.
Awareness on this issue is central for us at Egoitaliano and is reflected in our choice of innovative materials obtained from processes with low environmental impact. Our aim, in fact, is to offer elegant, quality products with innovative features and environmentally friendly materials.
Coconut in detail
Moving on to the technical details, the shape of the Coconut armchair, as the name suggests, is reminiscent of a coconut shell, and evokes a feeling of cosiness and protection. The latter is enhanced by the armchair’s soft and luxurious upholstery.
The external frame is made of recycled cellulose, a rigid material that gives the armchair and pouf their distinctive outlines, and underlines the project’s eco-friendly credentials. The whole thing is enclosed by the soft, ample lines of the upholstery, made of polyurethane foam and covered in self-extinguishing material.
Coconut’s versatile personality makes the swivel armchair and matching pouf ideal for any setting: such as the reading corner or entertaining area of your living room, or a teenage bedroom.
Different creations, same philosophy
Coconut fully reflects the company’s philosophy, which is all about rich, vivid tones: indeed, it is available in 550 different finishes, something to suit everyone’s personality.
The swivel armchair and matching pouf, with their modern yet timeless look, suit any setting and can be customised in so many ways, to perfectly match anyone’s personal style.
